I’m very fond of this patient, whom I’ve known for many, many years. It had been a few years since she last visited my office, and I see a face that clearly shows signs of overtreatment, that is, treatment with excessive doses of hyaluronic acid that have deformed the face.
You can see the face is swollen. She too is not satisfied with her face and doesn’t know quite what to do.
I propose the HDS thread lift technique, where threads are inserted deep into the SMAS for lifting and rejuvenating effects with the promise that she would no longer need treatments with hyaluronic acid.
Now we see her at a 6-month follow-up. You can see that the face is already completely different. There’s still some swelling here and there, but the hyaluronic acid is slowly being reabsorbed, and you can see the effect of these threads that have removed all the folds and will remain stable, consistently lifting the SMAS over the years.
